Well here's a sneak peek a something I have been working on. It has been driving me crazy trying to get it worked out, but I think it was worth it! It's made from 100% cotton so it will be nice and light for summer!

Humble Apologies.

I know, that it has been a long time between drinks! A lot has happened here in the last few months, we had to move unexpectedly, illnesses etc etc. But I am very pleased to let you all know that the hooks and I are back in action and preparing some lovely cotton items especially for summer! I will post a few sneak peeks soon.

It's long, long overdue I know, but I'm getting there!

A k-nitting k-nightmare!

Well I have been trying to knit something. And i was going well it turned out that the pattern had parts that nobody I knew could understand. It involved some shaping over the 6 sts between each leg. After much stress and headaches I decided to just skip the shaping and start going up. Hopefully at then end of it I will end up with something taht looks like longies and might even be functionable!

I'm still here!!

No I haven't disappeared! Been slack with the blogging though I know. Soory about that. I have been finishing off the custom orders and getting ready to plan my next stocking. The first one was such a success I got a bit overwhelmed for a moment. I have had a lot of people asking about the Mary Janes...So there will be more of those on offer most definitely. More boots, some shorties...If you have any suggestions, feedback or requests, feel free to email me. I'd love to know what people think of the products and what is in demand.

Wow!

Thankyou to everyone who made my opening a big success! It's almost sad posting away the pile of things I have built up. Especially the booties...I had gotten used to seeing those cute little things! I am already cooking up plans for another stocking, ready for spring. I just need to finish off the custom order and get cracking!

Lazy Saturdays

Well, I tried to take a day off from crochet....And I couldn't do it. For couple of months now I have had this really nice handpainted yarn sitting in the pile, waiting for a project. I was originally going to try and knit a sarf with it, but with all this crochet I haven't been anywhere nearthe poor neglected knitting needles at all! (Including the 5 inches I startedon a pair of longies on some circs...Sorry Mamasue, please forgive my knitting sins). On friday I enlisted the services of my dear Mum to knit me this wonderful looking thing, but last night I decide I'd have a go at trying to crochet something similar. *Gasp* I made something for myself for once! I kept it really simply and it worked out pretty well I think. Sorry about the pics, it's really hard to take pics of yourself!





I didn't write down a pattern but here's what I did:
STarted with 3ch, sc in next ch from hook, and in next ch. Then ch3, turn, 2dc in 1st sc, and 2dc in 2nd sc. ch3 and turn. Then 2dc in the first and last st of eachrow until it is as wide as you need, and decrease in the same way at the other side. Then sew a button on and TA DA! easy peasy. Keeps my ears nice and warm too!! (and it was maybe about 1/2 a skein!)

Well just about everything is ready to go! Maybe if I get some of these booties finished before sunday they will go up too (with the way my house is at the moment that may be a miracle!). I will be very interested to see where the interest is in everything. Especially the longies, as they seemed to take forever to make! And I want to have time to make some for Tasman because I tried the set with the booties on him and it's a perfect fit, and soooo yummy.

I also have to start plans on the girls set I'm planning for spring...Capris with matching top!

So now I just wait until Sunday I guess. Nervously!
